Cleaning Retainers
After you get your braces removed, you are going to have to wear retainers all through the day and evening. As of now there are two types of retainers. The traditional, removable retainers are commonly used because it’s easy to adjust them as needed. They are made out of acrylic and wire and usually come in a variety of colors. Clear retainers are more modern since they are practically invisible and do a great job of keeping your teeth in place. Either way, you need to clean them daily because plaque may build up on your retainer. To do that, just brush your retainer like you would brush your teeth. Ask your dentist if he or she has any special cleaning solutions that you can use on your retainer.
